3rd Annual Futures All American Games Kicks Off This Week

The Futures All American Games returns to Central Florida on July 31st until August 5th.  USA Elite Selected hosted 20 tryouts across the country in 2017 and had over 2300 players from ages 9 to 14 attend with the hopes of making their Regional Teams. After all the tryouts were completed, 1144 athletes were selected amongst the eight regions. These athletes will makeup the Regional Teams competing in the 3rd Annual Futures All American Games.
The Futures All American Games features 88 total teams competing in the six age divisions—9U, 10U, 11U, 12U, 13U and 14U. Each of the eight regions has two teams per age group, except for the 9U age division, which is entering its first year in the program and will have one team per region. The eight regions include the Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Southeast, Midwest, Far West, Northeast, and Northwest.
For one week, athletes from across the country travel to Central Florida to meet their new teammates and experience a week of competition, camaraderie, and fun. Players get an opportunity to meet peers they have played against and will continue to play against in future tournaments. This year we have athletes traveling from as far as Alaska in the Northwest and Connecticut in the Northeast!
To further enhance the athletes’ experience, every Regional team is coached by a current or former college softball player. These players come from college programs like the University of Alabama, University of Central Florida, University of North Florida, Columbia University, University of South Carolina Beaufort, Stetson and FIU. Our college players/coaches will run practices on Monday, July 31st and act as the head coach for the entire Games.
The event kicks off Monday with team check-in and practices which allows the athletes to meet their new teammates and coaches. This year we are excited to partner with Easton Fastpitch and provide athletes with an opportunity to experience Easton’s Hit Lab. The Hit Lab will be onsight at Osceola County Softball Complex from 1:30 to 7:30 during practice times. All athletes are welcome to come test their swings and Easton equipment.
We are excited to welcome you all to Central Florida and look forward to a great week at the Futures World Fastpitch Championship.
