Emma's Art Cart

Viera, Florida- January 8, 2018: After being diagnosed with a brain tumor at a young age, Emma Stumpf went through 70 weeks of chemotherapy, 6 weeks of radiation, and over a dozen brain surgeries. During that time, she turned to art to help express her feelings. She used yellow paint when she was happy, blue paint when she was sad, and clay when she felt angry. That experience inspired Emma to begin Emma’s Art Carts (recently rebranded as Emma’s Art Kits) when she was 7 years old.
Each Cart carries a variety of kits for kids to craft with, including scrapbooking, coloring and more. Emma and her family then deliver the kits to the kids in the hospital. USA Elite Select found out about Emma’s incredible story and wanted to help.
USA Elite Select used the 2017 World Fastpitch Tournament in Kansas City, Missouri, to help generate awareness for Emma’s cause. Emma and her family attended the tournament in July and teams were challenged to help raise money for the charity.
A total of $13,050 was raised and sent back to Indiana with Emma and her family to do with what they saw fit for the Children’s Hospital. Locomotion 14u fastpitch softball team raised the most money for the cause, earning themselves a paid berth to the 2018 USA Elite Select World Fastpitch Championship. $1,969 was donated in cash to help purchase art supplies for the carts and 2,275 packages of physical art supplies was donated to Children’s Mercy Hospital.
USA Elite Select is honored to have been apart of such a worthy cause and looks forward to watching Emma’s Art Kits grow world wide. The platform that the World Fastpitch Championships provided was a huge boost in overall money raised and awareness for Emma’s creative agenda to spread her love of art.
