weekend #1 of Winter Fest Championship

Viera, Florida, January 22, 2018: The first weekend of the USSSA Slowpitch Winter Fest Championship tournament was a success at the newly renovated USSSA Space Coast Complex. A total of 35 teams traveled to Viera, FL to compete in the Men’s Open, Men’s C, and Mixed D divisions. The tournament was held this past Saturday, January 20 and was a three game guarantee format.
        The winners in each division included SKP/ASF who defeated Team Miken/Worth 23 to 20 in the Open division, BBMC/Nuffsaid/UWRG beat J’s Crew 25 to 10 in the Men’s C division, and the Titan’s beat Scoop n Ski 20 to 10 in the Mixed D division. The weekend was full of competitive softball, good food and great beer sold at the concession stands in the complex.
        This weekend will be another exciting tournament for slowpitch teams. Sixty teams will travel to USSSA Space Coast Complex to compete and play in the second weekend of Winter Fest Championships. We are looking forward to a great turn out as this weekend’s tournament will be the largest the complex has hosted yet.
