Giving the gift of fastpitch campaign

Viera, Florida- December 14, 2017: Former USSSA Pride shortstop Natasha Watley is changing lives and bringing opportunities to young girls in inner cities through her Natasha Watley Foundation. Founded in 2009, the Natasha Watley Foundation creates opportunities for girls in under-served communities to learn and play the game of softball.
This holiday season, USSSA is supporting the mission of the Natasha Watley Foundation through our “Give the Gift of Fastpitch” campaign. Watley played for the USSSA Pride from 2010 to 2016 and was recently announced as a USSSA Hall of Fame inductee for the class of 2018.
We are encouraging USSSA directors, teams, officials, and all members to donate to the Natasha Watley Foundation. For every $1500 raised, the proceeds will fund an entire team! If we raise $25,000 we—as USSSA—can sponsor an entire FALL LEAGUE! And if we reach our ultimate goal of $50,000 we can help fund an entire SUMMER LEAGUE.
Currently, the Natasha Watley Foundation supports the Natasha Watley Softball League located in Los Angeles, CA. The NWSL was established in 2008 and has participants ages 8-15 who participate in summer and fall softball leagues. Natasha’s goal, through her sponsorship program, is to introduce more girls to the game and eventually expand her NWSL to new cities or urban areas. To date, the NWSL has served 1700 girls since 2009.
