Pitch for the Cure is a girls' fastpitch softball
tournament that raises funds for Chicks Charities but also has
additional global ambitions attached to it. We connect regional
youth to fight against breast cancer and empower girls to be active for
change in their communities.
The 6th Annual Pitch for the Cure is presented by
Northwest Arkansas Fastpitch Softball Association dba Springdale Chicks
in special partnership with Susan G. Komen for the Cure Ozark Affiliate.
Since creating and presenting the first Pitch for the
Cure in 2006 we've raised $100000 for Susan. G. Komen for the Cure.
Our event donates 20% of all profits plus some of our weekend activities
bring in fundraising dollars that are donated 100% to Komen.
In 2010 we hosted more than 160 teams. For 2011
we've added clinics with 3-time Olympian medalist Crystl Bustos & her
Got Bustos? team. Bring your players to the largest fastpitch
charity event in the region. It's great competition and an event
they won't forget!

PLUS...you earn more points this year!!
Not only did Pitch for the
Cure return to being a USSSA NIT event but check this out....
-
USSSA has revamped their point
chart. See our site for a comparison of the
old chart and the
new chart. Qualifiers & State Level II stay the same but
look at that NIT
column!! It's BUMPED up a notch or two right?!
-
There is also a new level of
points awarded at 25-32nd places for NITs. For an event the
size of PFTC that's a benefit for a good number of teams.
-
Now for the best part: You
can take those points and
DOUBLE THEM!! Pitch 2011 is a DOUBLE POINTS event so all
of those points in the NIT column will automatically be doubled!!
Yes first place is worth 450 points!!!
What you may not have
noticed about playing in an NIT...
USSSA NITs not only award higher points at the top of the scale but
they also award points deeper into the scale. Qualifiers stop at
10 points for 12th place. NITs stop at 20 points for 32nd place.
(Before double points of course.)
GET REGISTERED NOW!!
Official registration takes place through the Pitch for the Cure website. Teams will be required to have their 2011 USSSA registration completed and rosters online.
