2022 Summer All American Tryouts and Games
The USSSA All American Program was created in 2015 to increase individual opportunities for fastpitch players to showcase their skills and represent their Region in a National event.
The All American Program creates a pathway for individual athletes to earn their way to a pinnacle, National event — the All American Games. Athletes ages 9 to 14 can earn their way to the All American Games via our All American Tryouts hosted throughout the country. Athletes will be evaluated at each tryout by Professional Athletes and/or our All American Scouts. These athletes will then be selected based on those evaluation scores to represent their Region in the All American Games hosted annually at USSSA Space Coast Complex in Viera, FL.
The six regions across the country are the West, South, Midwest, Great Lakes, Southeast, and Northeast.
This year’s All American team format will look a little different then years past. We will be combining all 6 regions and each athlete will individually represent her region by wearing her regional jersey. We believe this will enhance the skill level of each team and make for a more competitive atmosphere. All athletes within an age division will be pooled together, from there teams will be created equalizing teams based on athlete’s evaluation scores.
The age divisions 9U and 14U will have 8-12 teams per division
The age divisions of 10U-13U will have 10-15 teams per division
The USSSA All American Fastpitch Program will host various tryouts throughout six regions across the country. All tryouts will allow each athlete an equal opportunity to showcase their skills in the following categories.
- Athletic testing
Registration can be done online for $150 prior to the event or as a walk up at the field for $200. Online registrations will close two full days prior to the event start time or once the event has sold out.
At the conclusion of each tryout we will be identifying the top performers in each age group to be named as a “Direct Invite”. Direct Invites will be released once results are posted for that specific tryout event. All “Direct Invite” players will earn an automatic berth into the All American Games as well as a place on the “Direct Invite” team. The Direct Invite teams will play in a separate bracket within the All American Games.
All Direct Invites (grad year 2023-2028) will also receive an automatic invitation to the Select 30 National Training Camp. select30fastpitch.com
TEAM ANNOUNCEMENTS/SELECTION SHOWS
Each roster will be publicly announced on our USSSA All American Selection Show which will be aired on www.USSSALive.com. Athletes and parents will not be notified prior to the airing of the Selection Show. Following the announcement, participants will be given 72 hours to accept a position on one of the regional USSSA All American Teams. An email will be sent out immediately following the selection show with All American Game registration information.
ALL AMERICAN GAMES REGISTRATION
Participants who are chosen for an USSSA All American team will be charged a fee of $200 to play in the USSSA All American Games. The games will include two team jerseys and a five-game guarantee (weather permitting).
It is each individual athlete’s responsibility for transportation, lodging, etc. during the culminating event. The All American Games are a Stay-To-Play event. All participants must book through Anthony Travel to be eligible to participate in the USSSA All American Games.
